Description
The Thomastik Infeld THDP-01AU E-1 string for 4/4 violin delivers a warm, clear tone with distinct brilliance. The stainless steel wire is gold-plated, making the string exceptionally corrosion-resistant and sustaining its tone even during intense playing. Compared to the THDP-01, the THDP-01AU sounds crystal clear with distinct tonal colors: green and blue retain their character, and yellow and red remain sharply separated. Thanks to its excellent projection, this string cuts through well in orchestral and chamber music, even during forceful passages.
Note: If your entire system (instrument, rosin, bow hair, and bowing) tends to whistling, the THDP-01AU may be less suitable; in that case, you might consider the THDP-01. When using a fine tuner, it's crucial to deburr sharp edges, otherwise the string is more likely to break at the tuner. The string features a removable ball end, making maintenance and changing easy.
