Hosco Japan SOS-AG1 Sound Offset Spacer for Steel String Acoustic Guitars

The Hosco Japan SOS-AG1 Sound Offset Spacer (SOS) is designed for steel-string acoustic guitars and offers an efficient solution for intonation problems. This innovative spacer improves intonation at every fret and is easy to install. Simply place the SOS next to the nut, between the fingerboard and the strings.

The SOS was developed for steel-string, electric, and nylon-string classical guitars, based on the MTS theory (patent no. 4383272) and manufactured in Japan. This system is an advanced guitar tuning system that takes physics into account.

The SOS improves the tone from the nut to the 12th fret. It works excellently with a variety of string gauges and tensions, and especially with open and dropped tunings, where the string tension is lower and the pitch difference is greater. The SOS allows you to maintain tuning with less effort, even when using a capo.

Note: To improve the higher frets (12th fret and above), it's necessary to adjust the string length using adjustable bridge saddles. The SOS is made of Bakelite and can affect the guitar's perceived tone. Give your guitar the upgrade it deserves with the Hosco Japan SOS-AG1 SOS spacer.
