The TAD 7025 / E83CC Redbase (RT-7025) is a high-grade selectorized preamp tube , specifically designed for the most demanding amplifier stages . This tube excels in warm clean tones and creamy overdrive , making it ideal for the first gain stage and as an input tube in all applications .
With its fine, subtle highs, complex and full mids, and clear, tight bass , this tube delivers a transparent and detailed sound . Thanks to its exceptionally low microphonics, the RT-7025 is perfect for high-gain amplifiers, tube microphones, headphone amplifiers, and phono preamps .
When used in V1 and V2 of a Fender amplifier , this tube enhances the classic Fender tone. In an AC30, it adds more sparkle and liveliness , while in Boogie and Marshall amps, it brings extra clarity and definition.
The TAD 7025 / E83CC Redbase replaces and upgrades ECC83, E83CC, ECC803S, 12AX7, 12AX7A, 12AX7M, 12AX7WA/WB/WC/LPS/EH, 5751, 7025, CV492, CV4004 and MESA SPAX7-A .
Comparison with other TAD tubes:
