Description
NitorLACK N177014108 is a one-component acrylic lacquer in the color Lake Placid Blue , one of the most iconic metallic finishes in Fender history. Inspired by the paintwork of the Cadillac Brougham, this color became available as a custom color on Fender guitars from 1960 onwards. Lake Placid Blue is a dark blue metallic hue that, thanks to its reflective particles, can change intensity significantly in changing light, from a subtle blue to bright and vibrant.
This finish was originally finished with an acrylic topcoat and remains popular today for guitars with a classic and stylish look. To optimally protect the metallic effect and enhance its visual depth, it's essential to seal the finish with a clear polyurethane or nitrocellulose topcoat .
