The Rotosound RS88EL Tru Bass 88 is a legendary black nylon flatwound string set with the distinctive, warm tone made famous by Paul McCartney on the Beatles' Abbey Road album. With an exceptionally smooth feel and ultra-low tension, this set transforms any electric bass into a tone strongly reminiscent of an upright bass. Perfect for fretless basses and bassists seeking a vintage, acoustic-inspired tone.
The extra long scale version (36") is suitable for basses with a longer string length. These strings excel in jazz, dub, reggae and fusion . Famous artists such as Herbie Flowers used Tru Bass strings for legendary recordings, including Lou Reed's Transformer .
