Custom fitting and practical tips

• The plastic and brass picks can be adjusted to the desired length by using cutting pliers for plastics and then a file; bronze/brass picks can be trimmed with a file or grinder.
• To adjust the size, place the pick securely “Over the finger, Under the nail”, determine the desired length, cut and file.
• To mimic the curve of the skin under the nail, file along the back of the pick surface. This increases grip and safety. Do this step before changing the length.
• To reduce the pick's stiffness, remove all or part of the pressure band. For added comfort, smooth any uncomfortable edges.
• If present: bend the pressure band inwards to create extra tension on the nail.
